Launceston Town Council provides a range of services, manages several properties and sites of historical interest and provides a number of social and recreational facilities for Launceston.
The Town Council acts as a lobbying force with regional and national government, appoints councillors to sit on outside organisations and works to promote and support Launceston.
Launceston Town Council has 16 councillors elected for a term of four years. The next Town Council elections are in May 2021.

Visiting the Town Council Office
The Town Council Office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm. Officers can be contacted 9am to 5pm via email at email@example.com or via phone 9am to 1pm 01566 773693. We politely request that visitors to the Office wear a face covering whilst in the building.
Father Christmas’s Tour of the Town!
On Thursday 23 December, look out for Father Christmas, listen for the Christmas bells and come and see him in his sleigh! He will be going around the town – Route to start at Town Hall at 5pm then Newport, St Stephens, Duke St, Roydon Rd, Lanstephen, Broad Park, Dutson Rd, Ridgegrove, Kensey Valley Meadow, Stourscombe, Chesnut Drive, Longfield Rd, Trecarrell, Hurdon, Woburn, St Johns Rd, Upper Chapel, Meadowside and back to the Town Hall by approximately 7.30pm
Cornwall Transport Plan
Cornwall Council are refreshing Cornwall’s Transport Plan and want to know what you think about it.
Since the Plan was first published in 2011 some big changes have happened to our society. Most notably, the Covid-19 pandemic and a recognition that we face a Climate Change crisis. These and other factors will affect how people travel and goods are moved. Cornwall Council need to update the Transport Plan to take these changes into account, so that transport is well planned for the next decade.

Following a major refurbishment and benefiting from sustained investment and improvement, Launceston Town Hall is the largest and most exciting venue in North Cornwall for live music, theatre, comedy, cinema, markets and shows. Launceston Town Hall is an award winning building with state of the art lighting and sound systems, it is fully licensed, adjacent to a 128 space multi-storey car park (which is free after 6pm), and even boasts under floor heating to ensure the 450 capacity Main Hall is nice and toasty on the darkest winter nights!
