Launceston Town Council provides a range of services of benefit to the Town including:

Operating public toilets (Newport, Race Hill, The Walk and Westgate Street)
Managing Launceston Cemetery and the closed cemetery at Dockacre Road
Running the Visitor Information Centre producing in-house and in-partnership guides to Launceston
Managing and promoting the Coach Park to facilitate visits from tour operators
Running Westgate Street Multi-Storey Car Park

On 1st May 2019 the managment of Launceston Library transferred to the Town Council as part of Cornwall Council’s Devolution Programme. Launceston Library customers are still members of the Cornwall Library and Information Service and will be able to borrow from the Cornwall-wide stock of books, CD’s and DVD’s, as well as having access to online newspapers, e-magazines, eBooks and computers

We also provide a range of social and recreational facilities including:
Grammers Park and Play Area
Kings Field and Play Area (known locally as Priory Park)
Lanstephan Play Area
The Rest Garden at Newport (The river access picnic area opposite St Thomas Church)
Windmill Wood
Allotments at Dutson, Grammers Park and Kensey Vale
Arts and Cultural Events within Launceston Town Hall
Lawrence House Museum

Launceston Town Council owns or manages the following properties or sites of historical interest:
Launceston Town Hall, Guildhall and Launceston Ambulance Hall (Including all bookings for hire)
The War Memorial (Launceston Town Square)
The Roundhouse (Newport)
Launceston Priory Ruins
Southgate Arch (leased to The Charles Causley Trust)
The Bandroom (leased to Launceston Town Band)
The Green Room (leased to Launceston Amateur Dramatics Society)

Launceston Town Council manages Launceston Town Square and The Parade Ground on behalf of Cornwall Council (maintenance remains the responsibility of Cornwall Council). In addition to existing grass cutting responsibilities, Launceston Town Council has a service level agreement with Cornwall Council to conduct some grass cutting, horticultural work and footpaths maintenance in areas of Launceston and surrounding parishes. Launceston Town Council also maintains some areas of public open space at Stourscombe, several public seats, some bus shelters, certain street lights and salt bins.

The Town Council Offices are located upstairs in the Town Hall. They are generally staffed from Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm. Members of the public are welcome to visit the offices to speak with members of staff, just press the intercom on the red wooden side door of the Town Hall, if you would like office staff to come downstairs to meet you just ask, or call 01566 773693

Black and White A4: 10p per copy, 15p per double sided copy
Black and White A3: 20p per copy, 30p per double sided copy
Colour A4: 50p per copy, 75p per double sided copy
Colour A3: £1 per copy, £1.50 per double sided copy

Laminating: A4 £1 per page, A3 £2 per page
