It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

The flag above the Town Hall will be flown at half mast throughout the period of mourning.

Those wishing to lay floral tributes may do so at the war memorial. Please remove all plastic wrappings from any flowers that you lay, and please respect the current social distancing guidelines whilst at the memorial. Floral tributes will remain at the site until the day of the funeral.

The Cornwall Lieutenancy, has advised that Cornwall has opened a book of condolence .  Messages of condolence can be emailed to lieutenancy@cornwall.gov.uk;
